Programme Objectives

The programme develops managers’ core coaching skills and accredits them to use Conversations that Count®
- a diagnostic tool which provides the structure for effective coaching conversations and measuring progress.

Target Audience

The programme is designed for managers and team leaders; those with people management responsibility.
(In-house programmes are adjusted, based on seniority and experience of group)

Programme Content

Day 1

Introduction – effective coaching for managers

Coaching Core Skills & Techniques

Exploring different types of Coaching Conversations including planned and opportunistic (‘Corridor’) coaching

Coaching using Conversations that Count®

Day 2

Practice using case studies based on typical coaching issues managers face.

-Preparing for conversations
-Interpreting the report
-Using the Managers Guide

Practice working on delegates’ live issues

Accreditation and Online Set Up

Pre-work

Delegates will complete a 2-3 hour online module (designed to allow the programme itself to focus on practical application)

Follow Up Support

Delegates have access to email Q&A service (as well as online coaching resources)
